Papou
Papou‘s works represent the fruit of her life. The duality of existing. "Life is always happening it‘s about how you respond to it."
Her works embody her response and what she chooses to focus on and put her awareness on. As an artist, she likes to embody the essence of being free.
Through her art, Papou seeks to capture the essence of liberation, breaking free from the confines of conventional norms and expectations. Her creations serve as a testament to the boundless creativity that emerges when one embraces the true spirit of freedom.
Maximilian Magnus
Maximilian Magnus creates large, gestrual images with a strong focus on aesthetic composition and movement. Magnus uses the powerful and broad movements of his body as an expression of emotion, then transfered onto the canvas. Lyrical and diaphanous, Magnus‘ paintings are deeply layered, giving the viewer a sense of looking through veils to untangle the markings beneath.
Johanna von Holst
At a young age Johanna cultivated her passion for photography. Already at age 13 she created colorful staged self-portraits using props she collected outfitted with wardrobe items from her mother’s closet, whois a painter herself. Johanna von Holst’s friends, or one of her 6 younger siblings, were subjects for her image compositions.
Years of practice gave her a very strong foundation to her work and a unique creative approach.Whether capturing landscape, fashion, portrait, or self-portraits, her work ranges from printed fine art to online fashion editorials. Through Johanna von Holst’s eye for color and composition, she aspires to create an invigorating aesthetic via a multi-layered creative process.
Sergio Fiorentino
Blue sky and local stone tones. Sergio Fiorentino uses only a few colors of great narrative conciseness. ‘‘Because it is impossible to resist the charm and palette of a metaphysical place like this,“ says the artist, who left his native Catania seven years ago to move to Sicily‘s baroque capital.
Born in 1973, the artist had already dabbled in restoring antique ceramics, but it was here that he resumed his lifelong passion: painting.
Jenna Krypell
Jenna is a sculptor and painter from New York working in Brooklyn. Jenna’s work is an interpretation of people’s everyday movements, reduced to an exploration of two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms.
The pieces are created with the notion of displacement and variation based on the context in which they are presented. Each display and platform for the work allows for a unique reconstruction of the same elements. In this process, Jenna emphasizes the “journey.”
Alessandro Sarno
Alessandro Sarno finds inspiration traveling around the islands of the Bahamas; his photography focuses on the vernacular, on the indigenous expressions of people he encounters, on landscapes, wildlife. He is drawn to the interstices of Bahamian life: worship services, concerts, funerals, civic activities and all the little details which emerge in between.
Alessandro’s eye tends to see the present as if it were already the past, in such a way he pursues the timeless feel of his images. Alessandro’s photos also often have a painterly, dreamlike quality, the roots of which harken back to time spent drawing and making pictures from a very young age. Alessandro is a lone traveler and considers photography his travel companion, hence his artistic name, “The Lonesome Photographer”.
